I wanna feel weightless, And that should be enough.

Here's my video and feel free to know me more ☺
Credits to the cameraman and to ROTC officer who let me finish this clip.
Music from All Time Low - Weightless
Thanks!

 ♫ Weightless ♫
Manage me, I'm a mess
Turn a page, I'm a book
Half unread

I wanna be laughed at
Laughed with, just because

I wanna feel weightless
And that should be enough

But I'm stuck in this f***ing rut
Waiting on a second hand pick me up
And I'm over, getting older

If I could just find the time
Then I would never let another day go by
I'm over, getting old

Maybe it's not my weekend
But it's gonna be my year
And I'm so sick of watching while the minutes pass as I go nowhere
And this is my reaction
To everything I fear
Cause I've been going crazy I don't want to waste another minute here

Make believe that I impress
That every word
By design
Turns a head

I wanna feel reckless
I wanna live it up, just because

I wanna feel weightless
Cause that would be enough

If I could just find the time
Then I would never let another day go by
I'm over, getting old

Maybe it's not my weekend
But it's gonna be my year
And I'm so sick of watching while the minutes pass as I go nowhere
And this is my reaction
To everything I fear
Cause I've been going crazy I don't want to waste another minute here

This could be all that I've waited for
(I've waited, I've waited for)
And this could be everything
I don't wanna dream anymore

Maybe it's not my weekend
But it's gonna be my year
And I've been going crazy
I'm stuck in here

Maybe it's not my weekend
But it's gonna be my year (it's gonna be my year)
And I'm so sick of watching while the minutes pass as I go nowhere (go nowhere)
And this is my reaction
To everything I fear (everything I fear)
Cause I've been going crazy I don't want to waste another minute here

GAFE for Staff 30-Day Chrome Challenge

A special training to learn more from your friendly browser, Google Chrome. In this training you'll be able to learn ease of using Google Chrome and it's feature that will help education easier.

This 30-Day Chrome Challenge created by Bob Petitto would be a great help for those educators who are starting to learn the basic of Google Chrome. As for me who already knew most of the challenge, I skipped most of the training and only takes time at challenge number 20. I am familiar with the different shortcuts and features of Google Chrome even with this one but doesn't apply it to my computer because I really don't need some of its feature.

After visiting the Chrome Webstore, I add few Chrome Apps and Extensions and manage them as well as applying Chrome Theme for my Browser.

For Extension I download games becuase I already have what I need for my browser.
I don't need much App for my Chrome so I decided to download Soundcloud for App ☺

Challenge #25 or using Google Chrome as my calculator been using this before because of an error of calculator on my windows.

Challenge #26 or using Google Chrome as timer been using this before from playing games such as Pinoy Henyo.

Challenge #27 or removing the Bookmark is also been using most of the time because I bookmark almost every important pages I've surf on. Whenever I am doing something on the web, I often bookmark it and do it for later purposes especially with searching pages for my Photoshop Tutorials. Once I have learned those tutorials I remove the pages to lessen searching for my bookmark list.

I also done having Challenge #30 or Multiple Accounts for Personal and Work use because I have account for my personal use and account for my band.

Upon completing those challenges, I've received a certificate.

Once you got your certificate, you can download it as PDF so that you can print it.

Thanks for viewing :)
and special thanks to Bob Petitto for this learning. Here's the link of his original blog.

My Powtoon Experience

When i was 1st year high school back in 2006, I have already learned the basics of Windows Movie Maker with Windows XP as my operating system. I'm having fun every time I tweak our computer because that was playing to me. Learning different stuffs regarding photo-editing, video-editing, and surfing the net. That is also the reason why I've learn MS Powerpoint, Adobe Photoshop and After Effects, Prezi, and then Powtoon came in.

Unlike to my other classmate, I wasn't that excited about this creation that much because I am the type of person who doesn't like it when I am seeing their mark to the video I have created since it is free. But in other side, I still like the concept of how the video is uploaded. We live in a country that is poor of internet connection and uploading videos online gives you headache.

Also what I like in this web-based animation software is that it allows you to quickly and easily create animated presentations with your students by manipulating pre-created objects, imported images, provided music and user created voice-overs.

PowToon is used by businesses to create engaging, creative presentations that capture attention, and can be similarly used for educational assessment and content delivery. There is a free version available, as well as paid subscription that allows for more features.

My first time to try this app gives me confusion where to start but the tutorial helped me.
Here's some snapshot of my presentation:

I am glad to encounter this software. It could be very helpful to us teacher especially having students in elementary and high school which prefer animated videos with happy sound effects as educational material.

Here's my presentation created using Powtoon:

Thanks for reading my blog ☺

Bridging the Generation Gap

The older generation often feels there is a generation gap between them and the younger generation. This is apparent in simple things like the manner of dressing, socializing, more intimate relationships like friendship and marrying, etc. Still, some old things are difficult to overcome, as there are still the caste system in India, pre-arranged marriages in China, female circumcision in Africa, and theocratic or religion-rule societies in the Middle East. Even in education, traditional schooling has hardly changed even with the clear evidence of a digital world. Reflect on how some teachers confine their teaching to the board talk-test method.

In the field of education, a huge generation gap also exists and it will continue to widen unless some changes are adopted at the proper time. In peasant third world countries where schools don't have technology facilities, it is understandable that the transition to digital education may take time. But given the rapid emergence of digital technology, at times referred to as information and communication technology (ICT), there is the need to prepare for bridging the digital gap in society. First, we need to understand the potentials of ICT:

  • The networks of isntantaneous communication is global, overcoming borders between countries and continents.
  • Much of what elders believe may not be applicable anymore to the new generation, especially along matters of traditional value systems.
  • Alvin Toffler's book, "Future Shock", shows how the information age has begun to create many cultural changes in the family, societies, governments such as what he calls the throw-away society, modular man, kinetic image, scientific trajectory, fractured family, surfiet of subcults, psychological dimension, etc.

Given the speed and power of ICT for change, growth, innovation, it becomes critical that teachers understand the gap that nay be perceived between them and the new generation of learners.

Since the new generation are expected to face a  future professional challenge of a digital world ahead of them, technology supported skills need to be taught in schools today, or else schools will become a white elephant. If schools fail to respond to emergent changes and needs, new learners may lose appreciation of the educational system, and drop out of school, as surveys show an increasing drop-out rate every year.

Here's a video to watch for more knowledge:
